For many clients, having a spacious kitchen is the ultimate dream. However, if there is a large kitchen with big space opportunities, a lot of questions come along with it, such as perfect arrangement and decision of a perfect decorative design.

The desire to have a spacious kitchen in your home is always a great idea, but when it comes to reality, you immediately want to get more work space. However, the rule of  ‘working triangle” always need to be remembered when it comes to creating a maximum comfort in the using of working area. By ignoring this important rule, you can nullify all the efforts made, having an uncomfortable space may require excessive movement with a complete lack of ergonomics and comfort. The “working triangle” rule determines that a sink, a refrigerator and stove should be located at its tops. An important requirement of this rule is their convenient location for the cook, which doesn’t require unnecessary movements, especially  if it’s a large kitchen. Moreover, access to these “peaks” should always be open and not cluttered. To create a “perfect triangle“, you need to know that no leg of the triangle should be less than 4 feet (1.2 m) or more than 9 feet (2.7 m) and the sum of all three sides of the triangle should be between 13 feet ( 4.0 m) and 25 feet (7.9m).

Making a choice of layout, it’s worth to figure out what would be the most comfortable layout for your movement in the kitchen area and what would you want to achieve in your design. Reducing the number of hanging cabinets is the key to visually unloading a space. Also, the lighting is an important element of any interior.

If you decide, that you want to add more furniture pieces in a kitchen area, you will need to use light colors to make kitchen look spacious visually.

Another advice is to divide the kitchen area into zones. Zoning the space is an effective way to organize your space. This can be achieved in two ways – visual or physical. Typically, to achieve the result it recommends to add different pieces such as kitchen island or console table, breakfast table. Also, don’t forget to mix and match the materials and finishes and add a beautiful lighting into your space.

If you want to combine your kitchen with living room, it will require a powerful hood.  Cooking is always accompanied by different smells and while eating some of them contribute to increase the appetite, but after satisfying the hunger, they can perceived in a completely different way. In combined areas, such as kitchen with living rooms, smell can be a problem and to eliminate it, you simply need to install the powerful exhaust system. Textiles can be intolerant to smell, because they are easily absorb it. In such rooms, it requires to use a hood.

A spacious kitchen is the best place to use double refrigerator and sink. A large sink with 2-3 bowls is an opportunity to solve several problems at once, like washing dishes while soaking the most dirty once in another bowl, at the same time vegetables or meat can be washed in third.

Side by side fridge will bring not only big amount of space, but it actually can help to store more products in one spot and organize it for more comfort.
