MINIMALISM IN KITCHEN

Clutter-free kitchen is a happy kitchen. Minimalism in a house design is the latest trend in Los Angeles that we think will never go out of style. To create a minimalistic kitchen, designers use different ways, such as neutral color palette, clean lines, natural finishes and modern elements. Minimalist design is focused on simplicity, quality, and stripping things down to their clean form. But the idea of modern kitchen is deeper than simply aesthetics and trends.

Minimalism is all about living with less. For many minimalists, the philosophy is about getting rid of excess stuff and living life based on experiences rather than worldly possessions. Same definition applies to house design “minimalist kitchens are all about scaling things back and doing more, with less”.  Eliminating unnecessary things in your house will not only refresh your space, but will help to utilize space easily as well. Less distractions, less disarray, and less mess, more stylish and more organized space.

Here’s few tips to inspire your next kitchen remodel.

Tip #1

Use natural elements such as wood, cement, and stone or marble for an earthy feel . You can also pair cabinets finish with matching dining furniture and floors. If your space has a large window flooding in natural light, this space will feel dreamy, airy and light.

Tip #2

To achieve freshness and light in your kitchen, you need to choose light color scheme. You can always bring interesting element, by using contrast color of backsplash. A neutral color palette neutrals like grey, white, black and beige will create calming and subdued environment and  effortless feel. Although lighter hues are more common to minimalist design, don’t be afraid of choosing darker shades. Often times, colors like black and dark grey create a stunning contrast in the space. Darker finishes like grey or black tile, cement island and matte black cabinets will create a dramatic ambience. Just don’t forget to incorporate some brighter elements, like white walls, backsplash and plenty of natural light to visually enlarge the space.

Tip #4

Open up your windows. The large uncovered windows will bring more light and airy feel into a space and of course will open the beautiful view. To find best positioning of the window is very important, you want to make sure how the natural light is filling the place throughout the day.If you don’t want to make drastic changes to your home structure, you can always replace open windows with big wall art with nature.
